How FillWise handles Form I-140

FillWise fills this form the regular way: the AI reads each field's printed caption, its tooltip and its options, and answers from your notes. It works, but on a form with this many fields expect to correct more by hand than on a short one.

The PDF is encrypted with an empty password; FillWise opens it like any other.

It also carries Adobe XFA data; FillWise fills the regular fields and drops the XFA part, so the result opens in any reader.

What to check before you file

Filling Form I-140 for many clients

Bulk fill in your FillWise account takes Form I-140 and a CSV or Excel sheet with one client per row. It fills the first one and stops so you can check the result, then fills the rest and hands back one zip. Each copy costs 2 fills, the same as filling it on its own. For one client's whole case, add Form I-140 with Form I-485 and Form I-765 and paste the client's notes once: every form is filled from them. How it works step by step: bulk PDF form filling guide. Common Questions

Who can file Form I-140, and who signs it?

Part 5 offers three types of petitioner: an employer, the worker filing for themselves (Self), or another person, such as a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident, filing on the worker's behalf. A company gives its name in Part 1, Item 2, an individual in Items 1.a to 1.c, and the petitioner or an authorized signatory signs Part 8.

Does the I-140 need a foreign address for a worker who lives in the U.S.?

Yes. If Part 3 gives a U.S. address, Part 4, Items 3.a to 3.f ask for the person's foreign address. If the person's native alphabet is not Roman letters, Items 4.a to 5.g also ask for their name and address in that alphabet.

Whose family goes in Part 7 of Form I-140?

The worker's: the spouse and all children of the person the petition is filed for, even when an employer is the petitioner. For each one, say whether they are applying for adjustment of status or for a visa abroad; the form has room for six people, and more go in Part 11, Additional Information.
